São Paulo keeper Rogério Ceni scores 100th career goal
São Paulo goalkeeper (and legend) Rogério Ceni scored his 100th goal in professional football yesterday. And he scored it in the perfect way: in a derby match against local rivals Corinthians. It’s quite an amazing achievement and the player is a true São Paulo and general football legend. The 100 goals are split between 44 penalties and 56 free kicks. Continue reading
SP State Championship: Santos draw and their coach is fired
Santos coach Adilson Batista has been fired following a poor run of results culminating in a 1-1 draw at home to the lowly São Bernardo on Saturday night. Corinthians continued their recovery in the post Ronaldo era, winning 4-0 (Liedson scored another two) and São Paulo and Palmeiras drew 1-1 in a rain drenched Morumbi stadium.
