The Série A title race is wide open after three defeats in four matches for leaders Corinthians and the excellent form of Palmeiras. But Palmeiras missed an opportunity to take the lead at the top of the Série A after they only managed a draw against Cruzeiro on Monday night. Brazil topped their qualifying group after beating Chile 3-0 last Tuesday. Tite, the coach, has won an incredible ten out of twelve qualifying games since taking over just over one year ago. Brazil end qualification campaign on a high
Despite having qualified for next year’s World Cup in Russia several months ago, the seleção were in no mood for charity last week. Tite fielded a full strength team, which brushed aside Chile 3-0.
